A pepper plant developed at the New Mexico State University, hence the name Numex which is used in a range of other chillis developed by the university. There is also a red version of this pepper.

Numex Suave Orange is a habanero type of pepper and is from the Capsicum Chinese variety. Sauve means smooth  or mellow in Spanish which is how these peppers are supposed to taste. They are mild so you are able to taste the fruit which has hints of apricot and citrus.
